The world’s ten most expensive extreme sports!

This post is for you if you enjoy extreme sports and would like to try the priciest extreme sports in the world!

If you thought a long water slide was tough, try base jumping off high peaks or donning a wingsuit and leaping off the Empire State Building.

Have your cash on hand if you want to participate in any of these dangerous activities. You’ll need to make substantial financial payments.

However, what is YOUR price point and where do you draw the line? Let’s investigate!

10. Bungee Jumping – Price: $150-$420 Per Jump

Bungee jumping is the first extreme sport on our list of the ten most expensive. As you are aware of what bungee jumping is, you undoubtedly wish to give it a shot at least once in your lifetime.

This extreme sport entails leaping off bridges, big buildings, etc. The best part is that you don’t need any additional equipment; all you need is a long, elastic cord.

If you decide to go through with it, be aware that the cost per leap (at Croatia’s Sibenik Bridge) starts at $150 and can reach $420.

9. Heli Skiing – Price: $800-$1.200 Per Ride

Heli skiing is off-trail skiing that is reached by helicopter and is an alternative to ski lifts.

This is one extreme sport, for sure. In addition to skiing, taking a helicopter flight might also be risky. Weather conditions are never predictable.

The “rules” are really very basic. You lift off from the helicopter directly above the mountain coast, ideally the highest one, and go about your business.

That kind of trip can run you anything from $800 to $1200 per person.

Helicopter rides are provided by very few companies worldwide.

8. River Rafting – Price: $200 a full day and $1.400 For Equipment

Also referred to as white water rafting, this difficult activity is more difficult than it first appears.

You thought you could just go down a river with an inflatable raft? Indeed, that is precisely what has to be done.

The hardest part is navigating the numerous whirlpools and surprise waterfalls.

River rafting might set you back $130 for a half-day and $200 for a full day. The cost is lower for first-timers, at $40 per person.

If you want your own raft, be aware that a good rafting boat will set you back more than $1000, plus an additional $400 for equipment and safety gear.

7. Base Jumping – Price: $1.700-$2.000 For Equipment

To start with, let me clarify one thing! Skydiving and base jumping are not the same. Not only is base jumping risky, but it’s also forbidden in some countries.

So, what kind of sport is it? Any over 2,000-foot-tall rock face that jumpers use as a platform is referred to as the “base.”

Because you just have a few seconds until you strike the earth when you jump off nearly 2,000-foot-tall cliffs, this extreme and risky sport is what it is all about.

Therefore, you need to be skilled in order to open your parachute on time. Sufficiently harsh?

6. Rock Climbing – Price: $600–$2.000 For Traveling Costs and Equipment

Rock climbing is one of the most expensive extreme sports in the world and one of the oldest.

There are those that scale the cliffs without any gear. We like to refer to that as excessive. Or is this just absurd?

If you decide to go rock climbing, you’ll need quickdraws (a pair of 12 costs around $250), a chalk bag (about $25), a helmet (between $50 and $100), a harness (between $50 and $100), and special climbing shoes (which start at $150).

That would be $600 just for the equipment if we drew the line.

Not to mention the expenses associated with travel. In the summer, you might have to pay at least $2,000 if you decide to practice this activity every weekend.

5. Skydiving – Price: $5.000 For Equipment and $200-$400 Per Jump

Which of you would have liked to just… leap out of an airplane and fly? This is now conceivable.

Skydiving, also referred to as parachuting, might fulfill a boyhood ambition of yours. Take off!

The cost of a complete set of skydiving gear, which includes an altimeter, safety gear, helmet, primary canopy, container, and reserve canopy, is $5,000.

The cost each jump varies based on the area and height, from $200 to $400.

Although we are aware of the exorbitant cost, this is an experience of a lifetime. Unless you choose to repeat the action repeatedly!

4. Wingsuit Flying – Price: $1.500 For Suit and $2.000-$5.000 For Parachute

Is the proverb “free like a bird” familiar to you? It’s why this sport was created: to give you that kind of feeling.

The wingsuit has cloth that mimics a bird’s plumage between the arms, legs, and tights.

This suit plus a parachute that you deploy near the ground are all you need.

That kind of wingsuit is at least $1,500. You will also require an additional $2,000 to $5,000 for the parachute.

Don’t overlook the jump either. That adds $200 to $400 more.

3. Skysurfing – Price: $6.300 For Equipment and $200-$400 Per Jump

Individuals are imaginative. I’ll give it to you! Leaping from an aircraft while wearing a skyboard fastened to your feet? Sure, please!

Skysurfing is similar to skydiving, except instead of opening the parachute after a few stunts, you have a snowboard-like device strapped to your feet.

Moreover, it’s simpler than snowboarding. Beginner skyboards start at $400 and go up to $1,300.

The price of a leap is $200–400.

2. Underwater Cave Scuba Diving – Price: $9.000 For Basic Equipment

Put an end to Sky Sports already! Let’s explore further!

Cave diving is regarded as the riskiest form of diving, however only a small number of people actually do it. It comes in at number two on our list of the ten most valuable extreme sports. Serious abilities are needed for this sport.

Including airfare and boat transportation fees, the cost of the simplest equipment is an astounding $9,000. You still run the risk of hypothermia or other injuries even with that gear.

Would you take it on? even if the essential equipment was free for you? Tell us in the space provided for comments.

1. High-Altitude Mountain Climbing – Price: $100.000-$120.000

Although Everest has been reached, there are still more peaks to climb.

Specialized equipment costing between $8,000 and $15,000 is required.

Additionally, $30.000 for oxygen canisters, $10.000 for gear hauling services, $30.000 for a lead guide, and $10.000 to $15,000 for each assistance guide.

In summary, although it may not be the most exhilarating extreme sport, it certainly is the most expensive!
