Chioma Toplis, a Nollywood actress, has stated that she will not attend her father’s burial to show her respects when he passes away.
The actress made the remark in response to a tweet from a woman who goes by the handle @Jayritse.
“My father was an elder in the church, a proper elder,” the tweet continued. That happened in church. He was a wife-beater at home. My mother was once beaten with a wooden plank laced with nails, and her arm was torn apart, blood and all.
“He passed away nine years ago.” I haven’t cried yet. Thanks to everyone, she was able to leave him before he died. She’s doing great now.”
Chioma added her father was also an elder in a church and that her mother left him because he was lazy, lousy, dumb, and foolish, while responding on the lady’s Instagram photo.
“I believed we were the only ones with a useless father,” she explained. He is also a member of the church’s elder council. My mother also left my father for a variety of reasons, including laziness, lousiness, cheating, senselessness, idiocy, and beating; in fact, (he is) everything unpleasant.
“Do you know what? She is the WINNER for leaving alive. I grew up wondering what the hell made my mother marry such an awful man.
“I won’t even attend his burial even if I am in Nigeria, talk more of crying. The most interesting part is none of my siblings will either, except my brother, the first son, just to fulfill the native and custom law.”
According to the actress, her father’s burial will be nothing to write home about when he passes away.
She added, “Yes, he will (definitely) die before us because he came to this world before us! His burial will be nothing to write home about. Just open the ground and throw him in at the corner of our house beside the garden. Oh yes, that is where he belongs. Of course, he knows this already.”
On Instagram, Instablog9ja reposted Chioma’s post. In response to the tweet, the actress stated that she felt confident in her assertion regarding her father.
“Enemies and Frienemies rush now to Instablog, my gist Haff (sic) dropped to use una fake accounts to have a filled day. That is what cowards do because they cannot face me. I said what I said with my full chest,” she added.
