The actor and master of ceremonies also remarked that the industry’s lack of standards is to blame for the poor quality of some of the films produced. “The only reason people don’t do the genuine thing is that there is no standard,” he explained. Someone just mentioned (an actress) that they are unaware of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. But I can’t say I blame her. But it was a slap in the face because if you work in an industry and don’t know the people who work there, you aren’t truly working in the industry in the true sense of the word. Her claim that she was unaware of AGN was not incorrect. She should, however, have researched what it takes to join the guild.”
